Mizunara oak grows only in the remote forests of Japan, demanding over 200 years to mature before it can be shaped into a barrel. The wood is notoriously difficult to work with, its grain twisting and porous, yielding just a handful of barrels each year. We fill these rare vessels with our fully matured Kentucky bourbon, allowing the Mizunara’s elusive character to embed itself into this luxurious bourbon specialty.
